George Faulkner, everyone who met him loved him. He had the most infectious smile and laugh, his fun
and loving nature made him so special to me and was two of many reasons why I loved him so much.
He had so many friends who miss him so much, no one will ever forget the amazing times we all spent
with George and the funny things he did.
I miss him so much it hurts, its so unfair that such an amazing person has been taken from us and
its hard to believe. George made everyday that I spent with him amazing, I wouldnt change any of the
memories I have of him. I Wish we could have him back more than anything! its not fare.
I miss him so much, we all do.
I love you George, always will.

Bob (15), George's brother: "He lived his life to the max and in the 17 years that he had he
probably did more than most people would do in a lifetime.
He has been to many places across the world with his family and seen many great things. He also made
some great friends over the years who he shared some amazing times with. He was Everton through and
through and even had an Everton tattoo on his arm to show his passion for football and Everton. He
enjoyed sports and was very athletic.
He had followed his ambition to become an apprentice joiner and was enjoying the experience. George
had an amazing life and was surely going to have an amazing future.
George was an amazing brother and friend. I couldn’t have asked for more really.
He made me laugh, he always stuck up for me and we had thousands of memories being together. I’m
going to make him so proud and words can’t describe what a great person he was. Love you so much,

A TEENAGER was killed crossing the road hours before he was due to fly to Greece to celebrate his
girlfriend’s 16th birthday.

George Faulkner, 17, was on his way home from a birthday party in Eccleston when he was hit by a car
on the eastbound carriageway of the East Lancs Road in St Helens.

The apprentice joiner, from Bushey Lane, Rainford, was due to stay at his girlfriend Sam
Wakefield’s home on Friday night.

But he changed his mind at the last minute and made his way home to pack.

Everton season ticket holder George was due to fly to Rhodes for a two-week holiday with Sam and her
family at 7pm on Saturday.

As he crossed the road at Windle Island he was hit by a silver Ford Ka and was pronounced dead at
the scene at 11pm.

His parents John and Sue, aged 56 and 49, and 15-year-old brother Bob have been inundated with
condolence cards and messages of support.

Mrs Faulkner said: “George was a loveable rogue and was always making his mates laugh.

“He will be sadly missed, leaving a massive gap in the life of his family and friends.

“He was really enjoying life and looking forward to spending two weeks with his girlfriend and her
family in Rhodes to celebrate her 16th birthday.”

“He had intended to catch the last bus home from Windle Island but unfortunately never made it.
